Travel to Umag with car

If you are coming to Croatia from Istria from the western direction, from Slovenia, you'll go through one of three road border crossings: Plovanija-Secovlje, Kastel-Dragonja or Pozane-Socerga.

After crossing the border with semihigway "Ypsilon" you will arrive at Umag.

If you come into Croatia from Zagreb, take the highway Zagreb-Rijeka, after Rijeka enter the tunnel Ucka that leed  in Istria and with semihigway Ypsilon you will arrive to Umag.

Travel to Umag with plane


If you come to Istria with regular air links or charter flights, you will land at the airport Pula, Istria largest international airport. Pula airport is only 5 km from the city center to which you will always be easily reached by taxi, bus or organized transport. Near is also the international airport Vrsar, airport with acceptance of small aircraft.

Travel to Umag with train

If you arrive by train, you can reach Istria with the following regular lines:

Ljubljana (SLO) - Divaca (SLO) - Buzet (HR) - Pula (HR)

Zagreb (HR) - Rijeka (HR) - Pazin (HR) - Pula (HR)

Railway stations in Istria: Pula, Kanfanar, Pazin and Rijeka which connects Istria with other Croatian counties.

From Pula there are regular bus lines every hour to Umag.

Umag is connected with bus lines with several European cities during the summer season.

If you can not find a direct line to Umag we suggest to buy a ticket to the city of Pula or Rijeka.

From Pula and Rijeka every couple of hours is driving a bus to Umag.
