Hvar is a larger island with a few small citys. There are town of Hvar, Jelsa, Palmizana, Old Town, Sucuraj and Vrbovska.

Hvar town since ancient times was an important naval port. The city in which fused the rich cultural heritage nad luxury tourism. Of natural beauty in Hvar, we recommend visiting the Pakleni islands that makes a group of twenty islands and reefs, and about 500 years old Cypress, which is located in the courtyard of the Franciscan monastery in Hvar.
From cultural sights worth visiting in city Hvar we recommend:
Arsenal - Magazine for marine supplies was built in the 14th century.
French fort - served as patrol and guarding the place and is built by Napoleon's troops in 1811th year.
Franciscan Monastery - was built in the 15th century as a haven for sailors, today it is museum with exposed old coins, paintings and religious books.
Hvar's Cathedral - the Cathedral dedicated to Saint Stephen, Pope and martyr, and patron of the diocese of Hvar.
Hvar Theater - the oldest theater in Europe based in 1612th year.
Fortica fortress - built in mid 16th century on a hill above the old part of town Hvar.

Jelsa is a small tourist town situated in the middle of the island of Hvar. Since ancient times Jelsa is visited by naturalists and archaeologists. In addition to beautiful beaches and excellent gastronomic offer in Jelsa is worth visiting:

Sucuraj a small fishing village on the eastern coast of the island of Hvar. Church of St. Lawrence - the Baroque parish church looks to the 15th century.
St. Peter's Church - One of the oldest church on the island of Hvar.
