What to see in Vodice
Worth visiting the Coric tower which was built by the family Fondra 1646th year. Was done as a defensive residential buildings with stone from the island of Brac.
Church St. Holy Cross was built 1402nd in Gothic style. Formerly the parish church and near there is a cemetery.
Nearby are also the parish church of Sts. Cross with a bell tower, the church of baroque style with beautiful Baroque altar in the interior as well as the church of Sts. Elijah the Prophet build in the 1298th year.
On the west side of Vodice is the place Tribunj, known primarily as a fishing village. The dominant structure is certainly the church of Sts. Nicholas, and one of the oldest buildings in Tribunj, built 1452nd year.
Since neither Tribunj was spared by the Turks, on the Mount St. Nicholas was built defensive fortifications Jurjevgrad in 1650th.
Not far from Vodice is Srima which is now a famous tourist resort with beautiful beaches.
Srima peninsula was inhabited in ancient times as evidenced by archaeological site complex of two part late antique basilicas Prizba. On the hill above the village stands the church dedicated to Our Lady. This is a one-nave building with a bell tower. On the apse is a valuable fresco with Madonna with Child and St. characters. Vid, and George from the late 12th century.
Contrary Vodice is the island Prvic. The island with its two resorts Sepurine and Prvic arc mentioned in the 11th century. Today the island Prvic is little tourist destination where one should visit the parish church of the Assumption to 1878. and the Church of St. Rocco built 1620th year.
Worth visiting is also Sibenik that is only few km from Vodice.
