How to get to Zadar
If you arrived to Croatia from Zagreb, the best and quickest way to Zadar is the A1 higway, which runs from Zagreb to Dubrovnik. If you entered through Istria in Croatia, through the semi higway Ipsilon you drive to the city of Rijeka. After the city Rijeka you must connect to the A7 highway, which takes you to the A1 higwway, which goes all the way to Dubrovnik.
Travel to Zadar with Boat
The city of Zadar has five Acy marina where you can find a berth for your boat if you are coming with your own boat. Zadar is also connected by ferry lines with Croatian coastal towns as well as Trieste and Venice in Italy.
Travel to Zadar with Bus
Zadar is connected by bus connections to all major western European cities, including Ljubljana, Trieste, Vienna, Zurich, Munich, Rotterdam, etc.
Travel to Zadar with Train
Zadar is connected via Knin railway links to Zagreb and rest of Europe. The railway station is located in center of city Zadar.
Travel to Zadar with plane
Although a small but modern airport (9 km away from the center), Zadar is connected with Zagreb and several European destinations (London, Dublin, Edinburgh, Stockholm, Pisa, Vienna, Prague, Stuttgart, Cologne, Berlin, Düsseldorf, and Friedrichshafen).
Other destinations are available indirectly from Zagreb, which is networked to international air traffic. Regular flights to Zagreb take off from almost all major European airports, from where you can fly to the coast.
In high season the number of flights are increased and number of charter flights directly to the biggest tourist destinations in Croatia: Pula, Zadar, Split, Brac and Dubrovnik.
