Novi Vinodolski is best known for one of the oldest European Code "Vinodolski Code" from 1288. written in the Glagolitic and the national language.
The most famous building is Frankopan castle in which today is the National Reading Room, Library and National Museum with an interesting ethnographic collection of costumes and instruments, a collection of art objects and weapons.
Also visit the remains of Roman fortifications Lopsica, which was the pentagonal structure which was defended by two square towers and from the north with two smaller ones.
From the sacral buildings in Novi Vinodolski should visit the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the remains of Pauline Monastery, Church of the Holy Trinity that was built in the 15th century, the cathedral of St. Philip and Jacob with 36m high bell tower, church of Fabian and Sebastian and the Gothic church on the 250m away island San Marino.
