What to see in Pješčana uvala
Pjescana uvala is one of the most beautiful places in the vicinity of the town Pula. Name Pjescana uvala means Sandy Bay in english.
At the top of the hill there is a newer church of St. Nicholas Traveller. The church is white and blue and looks like a ship.
On the hills of Pjescana uvala were also discovered archeological sites. The archaeological site is located on Fratarski island where there was once a Franciscan monastery and church.
Because of its proximity we definitely suggest that you visit the ancient Roman quarry named Cavae Romane in Vinkuran, ruins from the Bronze Age in Vintijan and the city of Pula, in which is a Roman amphitheater and many other cultural and historical sights.
