During the summer, in the town of Pag are held a series of cultural events including the famous Festival "Pag Summer" in which come many renowned musicians from the Croatia and the world.
In the gallery of the church of St. George and in the City Hall are held Art exhibitions.
In Skrivanat Tower and the atrium of the Rector's Palace are organized theatrical performances and concerts.
The central part of the summer marks the Summer Pag Carnival, when in the town's main square band play traditional Pag kolo, is held a masked ball, singing folk songs and performed folk drama "Slave".
In Novalja on the island of Pag are held each summer, the craziest partys in Croatia, visiting the most famous DJs of the world.
If you're a fan of electronic music, fun until the morning on the beautiful beaches, then the island of Pag and Novalja are your ideal vacation spot.

When it comes to gastronomy of island Pag certainly we have to mention the two most famous dishes of these regions: Pag cheese and Pag lamb.
Being on the island and do not try these two dishes is a real sin.
Indispensable part of the island Pag cuisine is Mediterranean cuisine with a range of fish, shellfish and crustaceans.
Treats of these areas are also salted sardines, snails, asparagus and lamb.
Besides food we should mention Pag sherry, Pag wine and Pag brandy.

What to see on island Pag

On the island of Pag there are several small settlements: Miskovici, Dinjiska, Vlasici, Smokvica, Kosljun, Novalja.
Novalja is one of the most famous resorts in Croatia, thay call Novalja the Croatian Ibiza.
The city of Pag is rich in historical and cultural monuments. The most important buildings are the Collegiate Church of the Assumption of Mary, the Rector's Palace and the Tower Skrivanat - the only one remaining of nine towers that are along the walls, used to encircle the city.
Besides these buildings, you can see the Church of St. George, St. Francis and Monastery of St. Margaret.
Archaeological site Old town with the church of St. Mary and the ruins of the Acropolis is only a kilometer from the city center.
Pag Island area is 285 square miles and is full of beautiful bays, coves, beaches and capes. The bay of Pag has 20 km long pebble beach.
