How to get to Hvar
Travel to island Hvar with car
There are two ferry ports on the island of Hvar, Stari Grad and Sucuraj. Stari grad port is connected with Split and is closer to Hvar (20 km), a ride to Hvar town takes about ten minutes, the road passes through the beautiful south side of the island. Port in Sucuraj is connected to Drvenik on the mainland and it is located on the other side of the island. But this connection saves time to tourists coming from Dubrovnik, Mostar, Sarajevo, etc.

Split airport is the closest to island of Hvar. At the airport there is a bus to Split harbor. If from your city is no direct air line to Split, the easiest way is to land in Zagreb and from it take a direct line to Split.

Nearest bus station is in Split also there is ferry port. Split has excellent bus connections to all bus routes. Bus lines exist on the island, so that the bus connections with the town of Hvar, Stari Grad and Jelsa daily and regularly, and tickets will be made on the bus.

Croatia has direct connections with Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Serbia and Montenegro, and indirect connections with almost all European countries. The closest train station to Hvar is in Split. This station is right next to the bus station and ferry port.
